Hertha BSC ‘to pursue’ Swedish international Gustaf Nilsson | OneFootball

Kicker reports that Hertha BSC are in the race to sign Club Brugge striker Gustaf Nilsson.

Hannover and clubs from the English Championship are also interested, the report said. The forward was part of Sweden’s World Cup squad.

Nilsson moved to Belgian football in 2022, joining Union SG from the third tier side SV Wehen Wiesbaden. He later won the Belgian title with Club Brugge, but featured only 11 times in all competitions.

The report adds he wants to wait until mid-August to resolve his future. Hertha are seeking immediate attacking reinforcements.

Club Brugge are prepared to accept a loan with a €2.5 million option to buy, the report said. Nilsson made his World Cup debut late in Sweden’s defeat to France.
