Hervé Koffi ‘to join on loan’ at Union Saint-Gilloise from RC Lens | OneFootball

Hervé Koffi is expected to join Union Saint-Gilloise on a season-long loan from RC Lens, with the Burkina Faso goalkeeper due in Brussels on Thursday.

La DH reports that Union Saint-Gilloise are expected to take him for one year with an option to buy, as they seek a replacement for number one Kjell Scherpen, who joined Ipswich Town this week.

It would be Koffi’s third stint in Belgium after previous loans at Mouscron and Charleroi. He is currently behind Robin Risser in the pecking order at Lens.

Koffi, 29, featured for Lens in a friendly against Crystal Palace on Tuesday, having recently returned from a highly successful loan at Angers.

If the move is completed in time, he could be available for the Champions League third qualifying round against Bodö/Glimt on four and 11 August.
