‘He’s really struggling’: Gary Neville voices concerns over Man Utd attacker after what he saw vs Forest

Gary Neville has echoed Manchester United fans’ recent concerns over Amad Diallo’s form.
When the forward squandered a chance towards the end of the first half this afternoon, Neville reacted on commentary, saying: “He’s really struggling.”

It does, unfortunately, seem to be a prevalent issue for Amad as of late.

He has yet to return a goal or assist this calendar year, with his most recent coming in the 4-4 draw with Bournemouth, which marked the Ivorian’s final game before jetting off to the African Cup of Nations.
Michael Carrick has seemingly been mulling over what to do with Amad, too, as for the last four matches (excluding today), he has granted the attacker just 175 minutes of action; two of those outings were for only 45 minutes each.
It begs the question over what United will do with the 23-year-old ahead of 2026/2027, especially given a new winger is expected to be brought in during the transfer window.
Presumably, Amad may have to settle for a more reduced role until he can revitalise his most prolific form, although the added fixtures will aid his case in doing so.
United’s win over Liverpool a fortnight ago secured their place in the Champions League next term, and it’ll be the first time the side are navigating the competition in its new format.
