Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus were held to a 0-0 draw in their first 2026-27 summer friendly.

The Bianconeri reunited with a familiar face, their former defender Stephan Lichtsteiner, who is the coach of the Swiss side.

Former Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa loanee Douglas Luiz started the match for the Old Lady and was replaced during the break by Arthur, another player who has returned from a loan spell.

The Brazilian earned a penalty in the second half, but Perin saved it.

“It could have been difficult to create chances, but we managed to do so, and did so well, too,” Spalletti said via Juventus’ official website.

“There was a bit of a lack of precision in key moments and two or three occasions where we could have scored, but the opposition goalkeeper was in fine form. I’m pleased with the commitment I’ve seen this week.”

Jeremie Boga added: “The team put in a good performance. I feel good personally, and it’s great to get back out there and play again.

“I think we played a good game, of course we’re not at our best physically yet, but with the ball, we showed some good stuff, and that’s exactly what we want to do this year. We’ll approach each game with the goal of improving our condition.”
