Higor de Souza ‘to join’ Barcelona after Benfica contract ends | OneFootball

Higor de Souza has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona next season, with claims an agreement is in place awaiting confirmation.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Benfica pivot is not expected to renew his deal and could head to Catalonia at the end of the current campaign.

The report adds that key terms with Barcelona are already agreed, with a contract running until the end of 2027/28 once his Benfica deal expires.

If confirmed, it would mark a second significant exit from Benfica futsal, after 31-year-old winger Diogo Nunes was said to be leaving for a return to Palma Futsal, the club he departed in 2022.

Higor joined Benfica in 2022/23 from Palma Futsal for 179,000 euros and has played about 100 games, helping to win one league title, the Supertaça and the Taça da Liga.
