Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-0 on Sunday evening to secure the Spanish league for the second straight season. As a result, João Cancelo became the first player ever to win four titles in Europe's 'big 5' leagues.
Cancelo's first title in one of the world's top leagues came in 2018/19. That season, the full-back was at Juventus, alongside international teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, and won Serie A with an 11-point lead over second place (Napoli).
The following season, Cancelo moved Manchester City, but had to wait until his second year in England before lifting the Premier League title.
After a period of tension with City boss Pep Guardiola, Cancelo was loaned to Bayern München for the second half of 2022/23 campaign. The Bavarians clinched the title on the final matchday, under Thomas Tuchel to add a third 'big 5' title to Cancelo's collection.
The 31-year-old played all of the 90 minutes at Camp Nou at the weekend to help his side seal their second La Liga title in a row to put his tally up to four out of five.
And Cancelo has been important to his sides – across the Big 5 clubs where he has won a domestic league title, he has scored 16 goals and provided 40 assists in 271 appearances.
All that's left now is to win in France to complete the set...
