Napoli have repeatedly stated over the past few months that Rasmus Hojlund will stay at the Stadio Maradona beyond the summer, securing Manchester United a €50m fee.
Manchester United loanee Hojlund is set to stay at Napoli beyond the summer, making his move to the Stadio Maradona permanent at the end of the season.
Old quotes from Napoli director Giovanni Manna have surfaced in English media today.
Manna already said at the end of December 2025 that Hojlund would remain at Napoli long-term and that his permanent transfer from Manchester United was just a “formality.”
In March 2026, the Napoli director reiterated in an interview with Sky Sport Italia that the club have an obligation to buy if they qualify for the Champions League, but he suggested they would sign the Dane regardless of whether they finish in the top four.
Napoli’s plan to sign Hojlund permanently has been clear for months.
The Partenopei already paid €6m for his one-season loan spell and will add €44m to secure his signature permanently.
