We don't need to dwell on last week's 0-1 away defeat against SK Rapid for long, because this Sunday afternoon we have the chance to get our revenge at the start of the championship group.

With the first championship group match, the crucial phase of the season officially begins, after the points from the first 22 matchdays were halved (for the last time ever). There is a run we're determined to continue: since the introduction of the current format, we've always started the championship group with a win. Of our seven opening victories, two were against SK Rapid, including one last season. Our immediate aim is to break the scoring drought of recent weeks. A look at the statistics gives us reason for optimism. Our Red Bulls have scored in 25 consecutive home league matches against the Green and Whites – a Bundesliga record! We're also unbeaten in 19 Bundesliga home games against Rapid, another best since the Bundesliga's inception.
We will see what happens, though. We need three points to stay right at top of the table and finally bring the Austrian title back to Salzburg in the next ten matches. We're going ALL IN! Are you with us?

Whether last Sunday's match will be comparable to the upcoming one, I probably won't be able to answer until after the game. It will, of course, depend somewhat on whether Rapid perform as they have recently. However, what's much more important is how we perform. This week we've been working on the details in both penalty areas. Now we want to step it up a notch to come away with the win after a good performances. We have had the most clear-cut chances and scored the most goals of any club. That speaks for itself, even though we could have scored many more. I have complete faith in our attacking players. Often it's just a little detail that needs correcting to make things go in your favour. Ultimately, you have to earn that. This week in training, we focused on making better use of the space in attack, and I'm convinced we'll do even better on Sunday.

Our play between the two penalty areas against Rapid was good, we're playing well and consistently in the way we want to. Now it's about regaining that fluidity in attack so that we can finally break through. It's often just the little things that can trigger that feeling. The league table isn't relevant right now. Constantly looking at it won't help us either. What's important is that we know what our tasks are and what we need to focus on. Everything else will fall into place if we do our jobs well.
