Hornkamp double sends visitors top after early Fortuna red

AZ beat Fortuna Sittard 2-0 in Sittard, Jizz Hornkamp scoring twice after an early Ole Romeny red card, to make it three wins from three and go top of the Eredivisie.

Fortuna were reduced to 10 when Ole Romeny was sent off in the fifth minute.

After the restart, substitute Calvin Stengs struck the post, and moments later fellow sub Jizz Hornkamp finished from close range (58.).

Stengs then teed up Hornkamp to seal it in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time. Hornkamp now leads the Eredivisie scoring with two goals.

Mattijs Branderhorst kept Fortuna in it with nine saves. AZ registered 26 attempts and 15 corners as they dominated the ball at 72.4% possession. Fortuna managed four attempts.
