How Ansu Fati reacted to Barcelona’s Anthony Gordon signing | OneFootball

On-loan Barcelona star Ansu Fati viewed the club’s recent signing of Anthony Gordon as writing on the wall when it comes to his own time with the Blaugrana.

This comes amid confirmation that the move proved enough to end the former’s hopes of a Camp Nou return once and for all.

Attacker Ansu is of course fresh off a season out on loan away from Catalunya’s capital, on the books of French outfit AS Monaco.

The Spaniard’s time in Ligue 1 proved to be largely productive, as Ansu, despite a fresh round of fitness problems, racked up a solid 12 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions.

Such exploits are understood to have given the 23-year-old fresh hope of securing a place in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona setup for 2026/27.

But these hopes were dashed once and for all this week.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have revealed that:

‘The signing of Anthony Gordon has finally convinced Ansu that he has no place in Hansi Flick’s squad.’
