The presidential election at Barcelona has now reached its final stage, with the club’s members preparing to decide who will lead the institution in the coming years.

The vote will determine whether Joan Laporta continues to be in charge or whether challenger Victor Font takes over the role.

Voting is scheduled to take place tomorrow at Spotify Camp Nou, where thousands of club members are expected to cast their ballots.

Among those eligible to vote are several members of Barcelona’s first-team squad, while the players and coaching staff also hold membership status, which means they have the right to participate in the election process.

Who is eligible to vote?

Hansi Flick is also among the members who can vote. In fact, reports from SPORT suggest that many within the squad have already expressed their intention to exercise that right.

However, due to the team’s schedule on the same day, careful planning has been required to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Barcelona are set to face Sevilla in an important La Liga match on Sunday, which means everyone must balance their professional responsibilities with their participation in the election.

For that reason, the club’s security department has provided clear guidance to the squad.

Players and staff have been advised to visit the voting area at Camp Nou earlier in the day, before gathering for their pre-match preparations.

As per the aforementioned outlet, the team is scheduled to meet at 12:15 p.m. to begin preparations for the Sevilla match, so voting before that time is considered the most practical option.

The recommendation is also based on security concerns. With thousands of members expected to attend the voting process, the presence of well-known first-team players could attract large crowds and create logistical complications.

To avoid such issues, many players are expected to vote in small groups while being accompanied by club security personnel.
