How Castellón’s internationals fared in the first part of the FIFA window | OneFootball

As CD Castellón head to Leganés on Monday, their three internationals have already seen action in the first phase of the FIFA window. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Maty Orozco made his Colombia debut, Rodrigo Rêgo featured for Portugal under-21s and Amir Saipi played for Kosovo.

Orozco, 18 and on loan from Brighton, came on in the 70th minute for Kevin Castaño as Colombia drew 1-1 with Mexico in Baltimore. Luis Suárez put Colombia ahead on nine minutes, Gilberto Mora levelled on 62 minutes.

The midfielder had already represented Colombia at youth level. His call-up followed his impact at SkyFi Castalia, where he debuted for Castellón against Albacete then scored his first goal versus Tenerife.

Rêgo played 25 minutes on Friday in a 2-1 qualifying defeat to Bulgaria for Portugal’s under-21s, having started on the bench. The Brighton loanee is also seeing more minutes in Castellón’s plans.

Saipi stayed on the bench for Kosovo’s 1-0 win over Ireland on Thursday in Pristina. He then featured on Sunday in Vienna against Austria, entering on 64 minutes with the score at 3-0 to the hosts, and it finished 3-1.

All three now look to their next international assignments before rejoining Castellón after the window.
