Grêmio sent six players on loan in 2025, most deals ending with the conclusion of their leagues. Decisions over 2026 remain open. Goalkeeper Adriel already knows his next step, he will move to AVS in Portugal on another loan.

According to Globo.com, the clubs that borrowed Ronald and Arezo want to keep them. Mila was briefly reintegrated into the senior group during the year. Mayk remains at Novorizontino until mid 2026.

Mila, 22, joined relegated Tombense in Série C, played 21 games, 14 starts, then returned to train with Grêmio without featuring, and is contracted until the end of 2026. Adriel, 24, made 30 appearances, 24 starts, for Athletic in Minas Gerais, who finished 15th in Série B, and his Grêmio deal runs to 2027.

Uruguayan midfielder Carballo, 29, is on loan at Portland Timbers after New York Red Bulls, ruptured his cruciate ligament in his second game, and while the loan was due to run to end 2025 his recovery should be completed at Portland, with a Grêmio contract to late 2026. Left back Mayk, 26, is with Novorizontino until July 2026, and in his first six months logged 21 games, 18 starts, with one assist, as the club finished seventh in Série B.

Ronald, 22, joined Atlético-GO in August, started all 14 games in Série B as they finished 11th, and the club want to keep him while he awaits a decision, with a Grêmio deal to 2027. Uruguayan striker Arezo, 23, played 24 times, 14 starts, for 12 goals and four assists at Peñarol, who won the Copa do Uruguai and were runners-up in the Liga Uruguaia, and while the club want to retain him they cannot pay the 4 million dollars, R$ 22.1 million, clause, with his Grêmio contract to 2028.
