Coventry City and Ipswich Town are among the clubs eyeing a deal for Troy Parrott
Ipswich Town and Coventry City are both preparing for life in the Premier League after clinching automatic promotion.
The Tractor Boys have earned their return to the top flight after coming 19th in the division last year, suffering relegation at the first attempt.
Kieran McKenna will be hoping for better things over the next 12 months, with the Suffolk outfit looking to establish themselves at that level long-term.
Meanwhile, the Sky Blues have ended a 25-year wait to compete in the Premier League, with Frank Lampard guiding the team to the Championship title on their way to promotion.
It is set to be a busy summer ahead at both clubs, as they look to build squads ready to compete at the highest level.
The transfer window could prove crucial to their survival bids, with reinforcements needed in order to avoid the drop straight back down to the second tier.

It has been reported by the Independent that Coventry and Ipswich target Troy Parrott has been handed a £25 million asking price.
The Ireland international has enhanced his reputation this season at AZ Alkmaar, and the Dutch club are open to his sale this summer.
Both Coventry and Ipswich have been linked with the 24-year-old, who contributed 16 goals and four assists in the Eredivisie this season, helping his side finish seventh in the table.
However, the two English teams face competition from the likes of AC Milan, who are keen on reinforcing their forward options.
It remains to be seen what Parrott’s preference will be this summer, but it’s been suggested that he is open to a move away from the Netherlands.
The forward came through the ranks of the Tottenham Hotspur academy system, and made a total of two Premier League appearances during his time with the London outfit.
It’s believed that Spurs will be entitled to 20 per cent of any deal for Parrott this summer.
The Irishman previously played for Ipswich during a loan spell from the Premier League side, where he scored twice from 18 appearances in League One during the 2020/21 campaign.
However, AC Milan could potentially offer Champions League football to the striker next season, with Max Allegri’s side on the cusp of earning a top four finish in Serie A, with the final round of fixtures set to take place next week.

Parrott has excelled in the Netherlands, and has done an exceptional job in turning his career around after a shaky few years.
The option of potentially joining AC Milan will be quite tempting, particularly if they qualify for the Champions League.
While Coventry and Ipswich are both on the rise with their returns to the Premier League, Parrott may take some convincing to return to English football after how things went for him previously.
There’s no doubt he has the potential to be an exciting signing for either Lampard or McKenna, but a £25 million price tag may just put them on the backfoot in the race for his signature this summer.
