Coventry City have been linked with a move for Lois Openda this summer
Coventry City are preparing for life in the Premier League after Frank Lampard oversaw their promotion.
The Sky Blues have ended a 25-year absence from the top flight, clinching the Championship title in the process.
It is set to be a busy summer ahead at the CBS Arena, with the 47-year-old looking to build a team capable of surviving in the division beyond one year.
Coventry earned points en route to the title, finishing 11 points clear of second place Ipswich Town and 12 ahead of Millwall in third.
The club have been linked with a move for Juventus forward Lois Openda ahead of the transfer window opening next month, although they face competition from Leeds United.
Here we use estimated figures from Capology to see how much the Sky Blues will need to pay the forward in wages if he arrives from the Italian giants…

Openda joined Juventus last summer from RB Leipzig in a deal worth €46 (£39.7) million, having initially signed on loan before the obligation to buy clause was triggered.
The Belgian has played 24 times so far in the Serie A season, with the Turin outfit competing for a place in the Champions League.
Luciano Spalletti’s side are third in the table with just two games to go, but are only one point clear of AS Roma in fifth.
Openda has contributed just one goal, and has struggled to settle into life in Italy compared to his standout performances in the Bundesliga.
The 26-year-old is the fourth highest paid member of Juventus’ first team squad, earning a salary of £123,470 per week.
The striker is behind just Dušan Vlahović, Jonathan David and Bremer in the list of highest paid members of the squad.
The trio earn £370,244, £185,122 and £154,296 per week, respectively, with Juventus seeking a third year of Champions League football in a row.
Openda has a higher weekly salary than the likes of Francisco Conceicao (£117,305) and Manuel Locatelli (£101,809), who are the only other members of Spalletti’s side who earn more than £100,000 per week.

Coventry have the 13th highest wage bill in the Championship for 2025/26, which they will have to increase in order to compete in the Premier League next season.
The Sky Blues pay their entire squad £328,000 per week, which highlights the financial disparity between them and Juventus.
It’s highly likely that a permanent move for Openda will require the forward to take a significant pay cut in order to make the switch to the CBS Arena, making this an ambitious transfer target.
However, the option is there for a loan deal in which Juventus still cover some, or all, of the 26-year-old’s salary.
The highest paid members of Lampard’s squad are Luke Woolfenden, Ellis Simms, Haji Wright and Matt Grimes, with the quartet all receiving £25,000 per week.
The next best paid player at Coventry is Kaine Kesler-Hayden, with the defender earning £20,000-a-week.
With Leeds’ survival in the Premier League now confirmed, the Whites will surely be favoured ahead of the Sky Blues to seal this signature.
