The modest amounts comes after John Eustace's comments regarding the Danish midfielder sparked some concern
The fee that Derby County will pay Borussia Mönchengladbach for 22-year-old Danish midfielder Oscar Fraulo has been confirmed.
John Eustace's side are close to completing a transfer for Fraulo nearly one year on since their interest in him was first reported.
Soccer News Netherlands first reported that the Rams were eyeing up a loan with an option-to-buy-clause at the start of the year, which would've ended the midfielder's second loan spell with Dutch outfit FC Utrecht.
It now seems as though Derby finally have someone who was quite high on their transfer shortlist, but comments from Eustace after the Leicester City game have left some supporters questioning the move.

As per BBC Radio Derby’s Dominic Dietrich, Derby will pay somewhere in the region of €300k to €400k to secure Fraulo's signature from Mönchengladbach, who is expected to complete the move imminently.
Dietrich outlined on his social media account that Fraulo is likely to sign on Monday, with the fee representing a cross-border compensation arrangement within that modest bracket.
The club's reasoning for bringing in the Danish youth international at this stage of the season, according to Dietrich, involves a 'specific' development plan to get him "up to speed" - with Fraulo not expected to be immediately involved in Eustace's first-team plans.
Apparently, this is a huge shift in approach compared to Derby's attempted pursuit of Fraulo just twelve months ago, when the deal was believed to be worth a lot more. The former FC Midtjylland prospect's contract situation at Gladbach, which expires at the end of the season, has made a cut-price January move possible for the Rams.

The timing and tone of head coach Eustace's comments about Fraulo in the aftermath of Derby's 2-1 away defeat to Leicester City on Monday night have sparked some concern among sections of Rams fans on social media.
When asked about the potential signing by BBC Radio Derby, Eustace adopted a notably cautious approach, saying, "Yeah, I think the club really like him, I think there was interest in him last year and I think he's one for the future possibly."
The phrasing of those comments - particularly the emphasis on Fraulo being "one for the future" rather than an immediate solution - has prompted debate among the fanbase about whether the manager is fully invested in this signing.
One fan asked Dietrich his opinion on the matter, saying "we all get the impression he's not a JE signing."
Dietrich acknowledged that Eustace's evident frustration following the Leicester defeat may have impacted his comments about Fraulo, with the manager naturally focused on the immediate aftermath of a disappointing performance.
Ultimately, it’s clear from Dietrich that this is a modest investment from the club, and the fee is a lot less than what the Rams would’ve forked out about a year ago. Perhaps Derby fans are also frustrated that they won't see him in action again, with another player having to get up to speed first.
