The experienced full-back is set for a Molineux move ahead of next season
Wolverhampton Wanderers will be desperate to right the wrongs of a dismal relegation season from the Premier League as soon as possible, and recruitment appears to have already begun at Molineux ahead of 2026/27.
The Old Gold and Black are facing up to the challenge of their first Championship campaign in eight years under Rob Edwards, who is set for just his second transfer window in charge.
During the first of those in January, it felt nailed-on that Wanderers were an EFL club in waiting, but they were able to reach the 20-point mark by the end of the season, despite waiting until the turn of the calendar year for their first league win.
Plenty of change is expected in WV1, with several high-profile names and earners already garnering transfer interest as the summer window opens alongside the beginning of the FIFA World Cup in June.
However, the club were able to raise eyebrows over their ambitious rebuilding job when Brazilian midfielder, Andre, put pen-to-paper on a new four-year contract until the summer of 2030, whilst his midfield partner, Joao Gomes, has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United.
And, with the season now over in terms of matches, Wolves have also wasted no time in adding further experience to their squad as they are already being made one of the promotion favourites.

On Friday afternoon, reports emerged that the Championship newcomers have 'verbally' agreed a deal with Kieran Trippier, who saw his four-and-a-half year association with Newcastle United reach its end point on the final day of the Premier League season.
The experienced full-back signed for £12m from Atlético Madrid shortly after the Magpies' £315m takeover by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, and went on to make 160 appearances, scoring four times and providing 29 assists for Eddie Howe's team.
It has been stated that the 35-year-old will move to the West Midlands outfit on an initial two-year contract with the option of a third year, which would, if the full contract is played out, see him be a part of Wolves' squad until the end of the 2027/28 campaign.
Such news also comes whilst Wanderers are yet to fully announce their released / retained list ahead of the season's official ending on June 30th, with Matt Doherty's second spell at Molineux set to end at the expiration point of his three-year contract.
Trippier, of course, has played for some of Europe's top clubs throughout a lengthy senior career, and given Newcastle's inflated finances in recent years, as well as participation in the UEFA Champions League two seasons ago, Football League World have looked at how much money the full-back was earning at St James' Park amid this fresh transfer update.

Unsurprisingly, several players on Tyneside are ESTIMATED to be earning far in excess of £100,000 per week, and the 54-time England international, who scored in the 2018 World Cup semi-final loss to Croatia, fell into said bracket.
Trippier's ESTIMATED salary came in at a figure of £120,000 per week, which was £40,000 less than Bruno Guimaraes, who signed from Olympique Lyonnais in the same transfer window back in 2022.
The same site ESTIMATES that, aside from the opening months of his spell in the North East, the full-back was earning £120,000 per week throughout his four full seasons, which would take his overall earnings with Newcastle to an eye-watering sum of £30.16m.
However, some may say that such funds were repaid in March 2025 as he became the first Magpies captain since 1955 to lift a major trophy in their EFL Cup final success over Liverpool at Wembley Stadium.
Rather unsurprisingly, those aforementioned wages would make him the highest earner at Molineux, by default, according to Capology ESTIMATES, although the chances of a nine-figure wage in the Championship would feel extremely outlandish.
