Borja Sainz is closing in on an exit from Norwich Town, with Porto swooping in for the attacker.
The 24-year-old is eager to move on after lighting up the Sky Bet Championship last term, and has caught the eye of one of Portugal's top sides.
Porto are giants of the Portuguese game, having won 30 league titles in the country and the 2003/04 UEFA Champions League under famous manager José Mourinho.
Sainz finished the Championship season as the joint second-highest goalscorer behind Leeds United's Joel Piroe, while Norwich only managed to finish 13th and well of the promotion-pushing pace.
Their bottom-half finish came 11 points outside the play-off places, and Norwich's star man now looks set to leave with the fee set.
The Canaries are due to accept an improved offer of £15m from Porto, according to the BBC.
He shone in an under-performing City side, which slipped from the sixth-placed finish they managed in the prior term.
The left-winger added four assists to his 18 goals in Norwich colours last season, playing 41 games despite a ban he served part way through the campaign. It proved to be his most successful in terms of attacking output.
Sainz joined the club in 2023 from Turkey, and found the net 27 times across 82 appearances.
It is no surprise that Sainz is yet to leave Carrow Road this summer, with the situation best for all parties. Sainz clearly wants to play at a higher level after impressing in the English top-flight, while Norwich can secure a return on their financial investment by allowing the Spaniard to leave 12 months before his contract expires.
He may not be the only Canaries forward that moves on this summer, with American international Josh Sargent catching the eye of Burnley as they return to the Premier League. Norwich are said to be looking for around £20m for the striker, which would add a large chunk to the Norfolk-based outfit's transfer budget to recruit replacements for their forward line.
Sargent is under contract for another three years, so there is no rush for a deal to be struck for his exit like there is in the case of Sainz.
While Sainz will be a major loss for Norwich, much like Sargent, it makes perfect sense for the club to try and move him on this summer as opposed to letting his contract run down.
To be able to secure £15m instead of potentially suffering a free transfer departure in 12 months time is a no-brainer, even if it means the Canaries will be without their most potent attacking threat.
Liam Manning's side are expected to complete a deal for Brondby 23-year-old striker Mathias Kvistgaarden, with planning already underway in case of a scenario that sees them lose both Sargent and Sainz before the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
