Patrick Agyemang signed for Derby County in the summer for £7m
Patrick Agyemang is one of Derby County’s more modest earners.
The Rams have experienced an exciting period of time over the past few years, enjoying a firmly upward trajectory since David Clowes bought them in 2022.
After achieving promotion to the Championship in 2024, the Pride Park outfit remained in the division last term after a worrying start, having acquired the services of manager John Eustace.
Eustace left his role at Blackburn Rovers, who were fighting for a play-off finish at the time, with the promise of a greater future available with Derby. This included more resources to utilise in the transfer market, which the 46-year-old used to full effect last summer.
In came operators such as Carlton Morris, Lewis Travis and Rhian Brewster, all adding to Derby’s pool of talent. However, the most eye-catching transfer of the window arrived in the form of Patrick Agyemang.

Derby announced their intent to progress up the Championship with the signing of Agyemang in the summer, for a fee that could rise to £7.3m.
The 25-year-old impressed for MLS outfit Charlotte FC during the first half of 2025, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in 18 matches.
Although his asking price was extremely high, the salary Derby have handed him is not.
According to Capology, Agyemang takes home a weekly wage of £7,500, which surprisingly makes him one of the club’s more modest earners.
This equates to £390,000 a year, which is far less than the likes of Morris, who is rumoured to be earning £1,300,000 over the space of 12 months.

2026 will be a massive year for Agyemang, as his home nation of the United States of America hosts the FIFA World Cup.
This will be a huge event throughout the country, with the players representing the host nation sure to become heroes in the eyes of the public.
The Rams’ striker will want to make sure that he is part of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the tournament and the best way to do that is through consistent performances at Pride Park.
Agyemang has already proven himself capable of scoring goals in the second-tier, with a particularly impressive performance away at Sheffield Wednesday seeing him net a brace to hand Derby all three points.
If the Pride Park hitman keeps this up throughout the rest of the campaign, he might well find himself representing the USA on the global stage next summer.
