The agreement, first reported by David Ornstein, represents a significant financial commitment from Arsenal and reflects Saka’s status as the central figure in the club’s long-term plans.

Over the course of the contract, the 24-year-old is expected to earn close to £80 million in basic salary, placing him at the top of Arsenal’s wage structure.

Saka had been under contract until 2027, but the new deal both extends his stay by a further four years and elevates him above the club’s previous highest earners.

Kai Havertz, who arrived from Chelsea in 2023, is believed to be on around £280,000 a week, with Saka now ahead of him.

Since breaking into the first team as a teenager, Saka has become the defining player of Mikel Arteta’s side. He has now recorded 77 goals and 77 assists in all competitions for Arsenal, while also establishing himself as a regular for England, scoring 14 times in 48 international appearances.

William Saliba and Gabriel have also committed their futures on improved terms, while academy graduates Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have signed new deals in recent months.
