How RB Leipzig can qualify for the Conference League | OneFootball

Even though the Red Bulls are still extremely disappointed about missing out on Champions League qualification, the final matchday remains important for the club.

The team want to end the season with a win over VfB Stuttgart to thank the fans for their amazing support. At the same time, RBL still have a chance of taking part in the UEFA Conference League next season.

However, qualification for the Conference League is not solely in RBL's hands. The result between 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Bayer 04 Leverkusen on matchday 34 will also play a role.

Both the Red Bulls and FSV have 51 points to their name going into the final day, but Mainz are currently in sixth place due to their superior goal difference (+6).

Scenario 1: RBL home win

A win over VfB will see RBL qualify for the Conference League if:

- Mainz 05 lose or draw against Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Scenario 2: A draw

If RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart share the points on Saturday, the Red Bulls could only then reach the Conference League if Mainz lose at home against the Werkself.
