The Baggies were linked with the 54-year-old after Eric Ramsay's dismissal
West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur are just two of the sides staring an unwanted relegation in the face in the Championship and Premier League respectively.
At the start of the season, Spurs supporters will have definitely looked at developments at The Hawthorns with a sense of intrigue as their former midfielder, interim head coach and assistant coach, Ryan Mason, was named as Albion boss on a three-year contract.
Fast-forward to the present, and West Brom are currently on their third boss of the campaign, with it recently being confirmed that former Albion cult hero, James Morrison, would remain in interim charge until the end of the Championship season.
The ex-Scotland international has been in his temporary role ever since Eric Ramsay's dismissal on February 24th after just 44 days in charge and a winless spell of nine matches - the shortest-ever managerial spell in the club's history.
Beforehand, though, it is fair to say that a cluster of high-profile names were linked with the vacancy in this part of the West Midlands as the Baggies look to avoid a first relegation to League One since 1993.
They are currently embroiled in a tightly-contested battle with the likes of Oxford United, Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers, whilst Sheffield Wednesday's well-documented relegation was confirmed last month.
The likes of Darren Moore and Slaven Bilic were namedropped, with both previously in charge of the club during promotion charges at the end of the 2010s, whilst it was also claimed that Shilen Patel and the hierarchy had plotted a potential move for Sean Dyche.
With that being said, Football League World have revisited how the 54-year-old felt about taking the Albion hotseat amid shock links of a move to relegation-threatened Tottenham, with interim boss, Igor Tudor, certainly feeling the heat.

Dyche, of course, is a manager with extensive experience at both Premier League and Championship level, but is currently out of work after being sacked by Nottingham Forest last month in place of Vitor Pereira.
It has been 10 years since the Kettering-born man has managed in the second tier, though, having achieved two promotions with Burnley - including a title-winning campaign in 2015/16 - as well as a previous spell with Watford in the 2011/12 season.
With Albion's recent managerial search coming shortly after his exit from the City Ground, it was reported by Football Insider that Dyche would be unwilling to drop back into second tier management, instead intending to think carefully about his next move.
He then backed up such claims on Henry Winter's Football Boardroom podcast, stating: “I will question my next move, definitely.
“If I choose to step away, it will be my choice, it won’t be because no one will employ me, I can say I’ve had offers already, by the way, so that’s not a problem," Dyche added.

Following a calamitious 5-2 defeat in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie against Atlético Madrid, it has been reported by the Independent that Spurs are looking to potentially appoint Dougie Freedman as sporting director and, potentially, Dyche as boss in place of the aforementioned Tudor.
The Croatian replaced Thomas Frank on a short-term deal in North London last month, but is yet to oversee a victory in any competition, with Spurs currently two places and one point above the Premier League relegation zone with nine matches to go.
However, it has also been claimed that the one condition that would see Dyche accept a potential appointment is that he is offered a long-term deal instead of a short-term contract until the end of the campaign.
If they were to be relegated, it has been widely predicted that a mass exodus would ensue ahead of what would be Tottenham's first spell in the second tier since 1977/78, when they were promoted in third place alongside Bolton Wanderers and Southampton.
