Atletico Madrid will complete their murderer’s row of fixtures on the second of April, as they try and knock over Barcelona en route to the final of the Copa del Rey in Seville this year. Diego Simeone’s side have looked as fresh and as dangerous as they have since their run to the Champions League final in 2016, but are at serious risk of ending the season without silverware.
Los Colchoneros do have one of the best atmospheres in Spain to call on when the legs get heavy though, and that will be in full force for the return leg against Barcelona in the semi-final.
After a first clash that finished 4-4, it is a game that needs little selling to the neutral. Atletico are one of the few sides to have gone toe to toe with Barcelona this season and come out the other end in tact, but Los Rojiblancos have done so on multiple occasions, suggesting that perhaps they have a better understanding and ability to exploit the spaces in behind Barcelona’s high line.
Meanwhile Hansi Flick, the brains behind that high line and in general, Barcelona’s revival this season, is juggling an assault on all three major competitions this season, but there are no guarantees of a trophy in any of them. The Catalan giants have shown they can compete with the very best this season, but sides that have been humble enough to shut off the space for their frightening combination of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha up front have caused them issues. There is of course the likely prize of a final against Real Madrid, with Los Blancos leading Real Sociedad by a goal from the first leg. For Atletico, this would mean a chance at revenge against their bitter rivals following their European exit; for Barcelona, a chance for glory at the expense of their most bitter rivals.

It will come as no surprise to anyone, given the above, that tickets are in high demand for the Metropolitano. Atletico Madrid fans will likely see this as a final opportunity to bring silverware to the stadium, and on the Atletico website, there are currently no tickets available. Equally for Barcelona, they tend not to release their away tickets on general sale, preferring instead to go through established supporters groups.
It minimises the options available for fans to see what has undoubtedly become the most entertaining fixture of the season. Sites such as LiveFootballTickets.com, Viagogo or FootballTicket.net do provide options as third-party websites for those desperate to attend the Metropolitano though.
From there, fans will be forced into a choice about which they prefer to go with, making a choice over price, reliability and consumer experience. LiveFootballTickets.com do boost a 4.8 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot, but beyond that will give fans a 150% moneyback guarantee on all the tickets they sell, which is no doubt a relief when large sums are involved.
