Bayern lead the head-to-head comfortably, having won more than twice as many Klassikers as Dortmund, and will be confident of extending their advantage today.

Dortmund come into this match off the back of a devastating Champions League defeat by Atalanta, who completed a remarkable against-the-odds comeback with the final kick of the game.

Lazar Samardzic nervelessly dispatched the spot-kick to sent Dortmund home early, and, just three days down the line, Niko Kovacs’ men must face their oldest enemy.

Bayern are in superb form this season, and sit eight points clear atop the Bundesliga with 13 matches left to play.

That is down in no small part to the contributions of England captain Harry Kane, who boasts 43 goals and five assists in just 36 appearances this campaign.
