Tottenham face Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night looking to progress to the Europa League semi-finals.
Ange Postecoglou’s men head to the Deutsche Bank Park with the tie level at 1-1, after Pedro Porro’s back-heeled flick brought Spurs level following Hugo Ekitike’s superb strike early in the first half of the first leg. Tottenham missed numerous chances to take the lead, with the tie finally poised heading into the second leg.

Tottenham’s poor form in the Premier League continued as they lost 4-2 to Wolves on Sunday. Richarlison and Mathys Tel both scored for Postecoglou’s men but they now languish in 15th place, two points ahead of 17th placed West Ham United. They have won just one of their last five games in all competitions.
Frankfurt continued their push for Champions League football with a commanding 3-0 victory over relegation threatened Heidenheim in their last game. Goals from Jean-Matteo Bahoya, Robin Koch and Hugo Ekitike set the Eagles on their way as Dino Toppmöller’s men consolidated third place in the Bundesliga. They have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games in all competitions.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou on whether defeat could spell the end of his reign at Tottenham: “I don’t define my career or me as a person by what people think of me. I never have and never will.
“If you don’t think I’m a good coach today then you are not going to think I’m a good coach tomorrow. Even if we win, mate, one game is not going to make a difference to that. If people think us winning tomorrow then all of a sudden I’m a better manager than what I am today, or losing tomorrow somehow makes me a worse manager, that is their burden, not mine.”
Eintracht Frankfurt defender Robin Koch on playing in front of the Frankfurt fans: “We shouldn’t expect that Tottenham, all of a sudden, don’t know how to play football because they are away.
“They play for everything tomorrow. Their league is more or less done, so they will give it everything. The stadium will be a lion’s den but I don’t think Tottenham will give up too early.
“You can feel it all over the city, in the club, in our team and everyone is looking forward to the match.”
