Manchester United and Everton meet in Atlanta on Sunday as the Premier League Summer Series concludes.

The two teams have enjoyed contrasting fortunes at the tournament ahead of their meeting at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Manchester United have earned victories over West Ham and Bournemouth, in an encouraging pre-season campaign for the Red Devils.

The latter fixture saw United run out 4-1 winners in an impressive performance. United will win the Summer Series if they avoid defeat tonight. Tonight’s fixture is expected to see the debut of summer signing Bryan Mbeumo. The winger is yet to feature following his £71m arrival from Brentford.

Everton have lost both fixtures to the same opposition, as David Moyes deals with a thin squad. The Scot has admitted his concern with Everton’s lack of numbers with the Premier League campaign on the horizon.

“We’re not ready to perform well enough in this tournament. We’re not ready to start the Premier League season,” Moyes told the press in the aftermath of the defeat to West Ham.

Everton have lost 10 senior players this summer and have struggled to get new signings through the door.
