Intriguing clash taking place in Lancy, Geneva
The Norwegians, managed by England’s Gemma Grainger, sailed through Group A as winners with a 100 per cent record.
They defeated hosts Switzerland 2-1 in their opening match, before beating Scandinavian rivals Finland by the same score.
They then eked out a 4-3 win over Iceland to take nine points from nine.
Norway boast plenty of recognisable names from the Women’s Super League, including Chelsea’s Guro Reiten, Manchester United’s Elisabeth Terland, and Arsenal’s Frida Maanum.
As for the Italians, they came through Group B as runners-up, losing out on top spot to world champions Spain.
Andrea Soncin’s side were beaten 3-1 by the Spanish in their final group game, but they had beaten Belgium 1-0 and held Portugal to a 1-1 draw to see themselves through, a point ahead of the Belgians in third.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live, for free, on BBC One. Coverage starts at 7.30pm BST ahead of an 8pm kick-off.
Live stream: BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website will offer a live stream service, which is free for UK viewers though requires a TV licence.
