England picked up a 3-1 win over Spain and a 2-1 victory against the Netherlands in the previous knockout rounds to reach the final. That followed a mixed group stage which saw them beat Czechia, draw with Slovenia and lose to their next opponents Germany.
Germany, meanwhile, have won every single one of their games in the tournament so far, beating Slovenia, Czechia, fellow finalists England, Italy and then France. They will be hoping for a repeat of their earlier game against the Young Lions, when they came out on top 2-1.

England boss Lee Carsley on the task of handling Germany’s star man Nick Woltemade: “We come up against all kinds of players with different attributes. I think the Premier League is so unique as well that you are up against players like that, who are fast, strong, quick, and tall.
“Our defenders are used to it from an English point of view, that contact, that physical side of the game.
“I think he’s a player that we’re well aware of, along with two or three of the other players for Germany. They’ve got some good players, a really good team, unbeaten so far as well.
“I’m sure they’ve got a lot of confidence and a team that we’re looking forward to playing against.”
