Blues out to right wrongs of weekend defeat
Chelsea travel to Wolves this evening looking to reach the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Enzo Maresca’s side were beaten in their last outing, as they hosted Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.
The shock Premier League high-flyers ran out 2-1 victors in west London, with Chemsdine Talbi notching the winner after Alejandro Garnacho had opened the scoring for the hosts.
Wilson Isidor levelled for the Black Cats, before substitutes Brian Brobbey and Talbi combined to win the game for Regis Le Bris’s men, who are up to fourth in the league table.
Wolves, meanwhile, prop up the top tier, and manager Vitor Pereira faced fans’ vocal displeasure in the side’s 3-2 home defeat by Burnley over the weekend.
Captain for the day Jorgen Strand Larsen also took criticism, with the striker and manager both trying to reason with displeased supporters.
TV channel: The game will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports+, with coverage beginning at 7:30pm.
