Big decisions await at Molineux as Wolves plan for the Championship after relegation, with nine loanees potentially returning.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Rob Edwards said after the Brighton defeat that some players need to go, and the club must recruit.
Nasser Djiga, a £10m signing in January 2025, made 40 appearances on loan at Rangers and has four years left. Ki-Jana Hoever made six starts and 10 cameos at Sheffield United and returns with a year remaining. Nigel Lonwijk impressed at Luton with 34 League One starts and an EFL Trophy win, and is out of contract this summer.
Tommy Doyle’s Birmingham City loan brought 19 league starts and 19 substitute outings, and he has two years on his deal. Marshall Munetsi scored four in 14 Ligue 1 games at Paris FC, with reports in France that they want to keep him, while he is contracted until 2028.
Boubacar Traore looks likely to leave after 16 starts on loan at Metz, and he has one year left on his contract. Tawanda Chirewa made two substitute appearances for Wolves before a Barnsley loan ended by injury, and he has one year remaining.
Fer Lopez returned to Celta Vigo in January, scored twice in 20, including in Europe, and they hope to retain him, possibly on loan, with his deal running to 2030. Sasa Kalajdzic had two Wolves outings before scoring six in 24 for LASK, and has a year left ahead of a return.
