Hamburger SV are in advanced talks to sign Nice striker Terem Moffi and Leeds United defender Sebastian Bornauw. Hamburger Abendblatt reports the deals are close and could be finalised soon.
Bornauw is set for an initial loan, with the Belgian not in Daniel Farke’s plans for the new season. He joined the Premier League club for €six million after six years in the Bundesliga with Köln and Wolfsburg. HSV have identified him to replace the influential Luca Vušković.
Moffi remains under contract with Nice until 2027 and spent last season on loan at Porto.
An ACL injury contributed to his difficult spell at Nice after a prolific stint with Lorient. He was also physically attacked by Nice supporters shortly before his loan move to Porto.
HSV have already signed Martin Adeline and Bilal Nadir from French clubs this summer, and Albert Grønbaek’s loan from Stade Rennais has become a permanent deal. Patson Daka is in good form after arriving from Leicester City.
