HSV ‘to negotiate’ lower fee to make Vieira loan from Arsenal permanent | OneFootball

Hamburger SV are pushing to keep Fabio Vieira beyond his loan, but cannot meet the €20 million option with Arsenal. Bild claims the club have set a budget in the high single-digit million range and are likely to seek a lower price through negotiation.

Vieira underlined his value at the weekend, scoring HSV's only goal in a 1-1 draw with 1. FC Köln. His season tally stands at 10 goal involvements, five goals and five assists.

His impact since arriving from Arsenal on loan has strengthened HSV's desire for a permanent deal.

HSV have already agreed a follow-up contract with Vieira, the report said. Finalising the move depends on Arsenal's willingness to compromise.

Arsenal paid €35 million to sign the midfielder from FC Porto in 2022, and his contract at the London club runs until the summer of 2027.
