According to BuLi News, the Bundesliga meeting between Hamburger SV and Bayer Leverkusen was postponed just hours before kick-off, with the Volksparkstadion closed due to weather-related structural risks to the roof.

It is the third incident, following a couple of matchday 16 fixtures that were rearranged for 27 January.

The rescheduled date is expected to be communicated in the coming days.

With Leverkusen due to play their last league phase game of the Champions League on 28 January, the DFL should find a separate date for this fixture.

Both teams started 2026 with defeats on matchday 16.
