Norwich City will be going into the new season with a sense of optimism after a strong end to 2025/26 under Philippe Clement.

The Canaries finished ninth in the Championship table, eight points adrift of the play-off places, but a positive run of form brought them up from a possible relegation battle.

The Belgian coach took charge in November, and turned things around in the second half of the season.

The Norfolk outfit have already completed the signings of Andre Brooks and Sam Field, with the latter spending the second half of the previous campaign on loan at Carrow Road.

Bruno Alves has also joined Clement’s side on a temporary basis from Cruzeiro, but further signings are likely between now and the 1 September deadline.

However, Norwich may also have to work hard to hold onto key players if they’re to push for promotion next season.

It has been reported by Sky Sports (10.36) that Hull City are exploring a deal for Kellen Fisher following their promotion to the Premier League.

It’s believed that no contact has yet been made between the two clubs, but that the full-back has emerged as a possible transfer target.

The 22-year-old signed for the Canaries in 2023 from Bromley, and he has grown into an important part of the squad since then.

The defender has made a total of 90 league appearances for the Championship side, including 43 in 2025/26.

Fisher has a contract with Norwich until June 2028, meaning there is no immediate need to sell this summer.

It remains to be seen what kind of fee it would take to convince the Norfolk outfit to cash in at this stage, but it’s been claimed by Pink Un that the club would be reluctant to lose the player given their promotion ambitions.

Norwich fans are mixed regarding the potential sale of Fisher, claiming that it could be worth their while to cash in if the price is right.

A figure of around £15 million has been suggested as a possible asking price, along with a significant sell-on clause.

However, some supporters are wary of needing to sort out both flanks this summer, with the club searching for a new left-back.

Norwich have been warned they could end up on the back foot if they cash in on Keller this summer.

Norwich are back in league action on 15 August with a home clash against West Brom.

Kellen Fisher sale would only make sense for Norwich at the right price

Fisher has a contract with the Canaries for another two years, so there is no immediate need to cash in but the timing might be right in terms of maximising his value.

If Hull come in with a £15 to 20 million offer, then it would be quite difficult to turn that kind of money down.

Fisher is a key player under Clement, but that level of fee could help the club reinvest in the first team squad, as well as fund a replacement.
