Hull City 0-0 Millwall in the Championship play-off semi-final first leg, leaving the tie level ahead of the return leg.
In the second minute Mohamed Belloumi struck the left post from close range after Liam Millar's cut-back as the hosts started fast.
Anthony Patterson denied Belloumi with a routine stop later in the first half, while Ivor Pandur parried Zak Sturge's drive after the restart (47.).
Camiel Neghli then clipped the right post from distance (69.) before Hull's best opening of the night, Oliver McBurnie glancing wide from Yu Hirakawa's cross (70.).
The Lions carried the greater threat, finishing with 15 attempts and 61.5% possession. Hull registered six attempts, just one on target, and didn't win a corner.
