Sydie Peck managed five goals and four assists in the Championship last season

One Sheffield United player is widely expected to move on this summer, and he’s already attracting interest from West Ham United, Brentford and Nottingham Forest.

The player in question is England U21 midfielder Sydie Peck, who made 40 Championship appearances last season and chipped in with five goals and four assists.

Blades have already cashed in on one academy product this summer, though, with Andre Brooks heading to Norwich City in a deal worth an initial £8m.

Even with that in mind, there’s a growing feeling around Bramall Lane that Peck could be the next youngster to follow him out of the door.

Speaking to FLW, our Sheffield United Fan Pundit - Jimmy from Blades Ramble - left little doubt over how he sees Peck’s situation unfolding.

"I expect Sydie Peck to be sold," Jimmy said.

"We need to get in more money than we've already got and I fully expect him to be part of the sales at the club.

"He's one of our most saleable assets and with the interest in him as well - he's an U21 England international - we can get some good money for him.

"I think West Ham are rumoured to be interested in him, Brentford I think may have some interest too as they've got part of our old coaching staff there in Keith Andrews and Jack Lester.”

As reported by The Star’s Danny Hall, West Ham’s sale of Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham could clear the way for the Hammers to step up their pursuit of Peck.

The London club have apparently monitored the 21‑year‑old for some time, with their interest stretching back to last summer, but he has also ‘caught the eye’ of both Brentford and Nottingham Forest.

Especially with that top‑flight duo lurking, Blades will surely feel the ball is in their court if it comes to setting an asking price.

Sheffield United told to consider 'any offer' for Sydie Peck amid West Ham, Nottingham Forest talk

Jimmy concluded by telling FLW, "So, I expect there to be interest in Sydie Peck, and I think for the right price we would have to consider any offer that comes in.

On this, the aforementioned Brooks deal is a clear sign that Blades are willing to do business on their prized young talent provided the money is ‘right’.

There have also been signs of movement in the other direction, too, with position-rival Jairo Riedewald signing a new one-year deal on Thursday, six weeks after the club had announced they were releasing him. But retaining an experienced head is a very different proposition to holding on to a 21-year-old with Premier League suitors circling.

Crucially, Peck is tied down on a contract that runs until the summer of 2028, meaning any interested party will have to pay a premium to prise him away.

Other Sheffield United fans have already had their say on how much they'd sell him for...

Taking to X, one Blades fan said they think it would take £15m for the South Yorkshire club to sell Peck.

Another claimed he'd be 'absolutely gutted' to see the midfielder leave - and that anything below £15m is 'an absolute steal'.
