Ian Subiabre could face a financial sanction from River after being seen playing in an intercountry tournament while still under contract until the end of 2028.

According to SuperDepor.com, the 19-year-old wore the number 11 shirt in an amateur match that circulated widely on social media, and the hierarchy are considering a fine for risking injury and unprofessional conduct.

The forward, from Comodoro, is not in Eduardo Coudet’s plans for the next semester and has been training separately after being told to find a new club amid a wider squad reshuffle.

Coudet gave him significant game time earlier this year, with 13 starts and numerous outings from the bench. He came on in the second half against San Lorenzo in the Apertura round of 16. He was then left out for the Gimnasia La Plata quarter-final, named a substitute versus Rosario Central, and omitted from the final, which River lost 3-2 to Belgrano.

During the amateur game he was involved in several flashpoints with opponents who mocked him for being frozen out by River.

Other players training away from the main group include defenders Germán Pezzella, Paulo Díaz and Fabricio Bustos, and midfielder Giuliano Galoppo.
