Jamie Carragher has admitted he expected to see more from Pedro Neto having previously named him as his signing of the summer.
Chelsea paid Wolves an initial £51.4m for the Portugal international who was regarded as one of the best wingers in the league at the Midlands outfit.
Neto was one of three high profile attacking signings the Blues made along with Joao Felix and Jadon Sancho, with the club currently the third highest scorers in the league.
Competition for places in the wide areas is fierce and Neto is competing with Sancho, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk for minutes.
The 24-year-old initially started on the bench and in his first two league starts against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth he was underwhelming.
However, in recent weeks the Portugal international has arguably been Chelsea’s most dangerous attacker and he’s now starting to show some of his best form.
Neto scored his first league goal against Arsenal and has a return of three goals and three assists from 15 appearances in all competitions.

Maresca revealed the Portuguese should be fit for Sunday’s game against Aston Villa having missed the trip to Leicester which is a big boost.
However, Carragher has admitted he actually expected more from Neto and believes the winger is a superstar.
“I was intrigued how he’d do because I think he’s a superstar. I think he’s a brilliant player,” he told Sky Sports.
“Initially he wasn’t in the Chelsea team. He now finds himself ahead of Jadon Sancho on that left side. He scored a brilliant goal against Arsenal. He’s got wonderful pace.
“I actually think he’s more suited to the right, but [Noni] Madueke plays there. Cole Palmer likes to play in that position as well at times. So it’s probably going to be difficult for him.
“I’d expect to see a lot more coming from him. Hopefully the Arsenal goal really kickstarts him. I think there’s a real top player there, I really do. He’s had a good start without being a great one.

“He’s found himself now back in the first choice XI. Hopefully in the second half of the season you’ll see the Neto that we saw ripping up the Premier League at times for Wolves.
“I will have to change my impact signing because I’m expecting a little bit more from Neto. We’ll see as the season goes on.”
