Ignazio Abate appointed Torino head coach after leading Juve Stabia to Serie B play-offs

According to L'Équipe, Ignazio Abate has been appointed Torino head coach on Friday, his first job in Serie A.
Abate led Juve Stabia to the Serie B play-offs last season.
The former right back, capped 22 times by Italy, is 39.
He spent most of his playing career at AC Milan, making 306 appearances.
His career also included loans across Italy, among them a season at Torino in 2008-2009 when he played 27 matches.
