Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Igor Tudor as head coach until the end of the season, subject to a work permit, amid a Premier League survival bid and Champions League pursuit. The club said in a statement that his focus is to improve performances, deliver results and move the team up the Premier League table.

Spurs suffered an 11th league defeat on Tuesday night at home to Newcastle United, a result that dropped them a place and a point below Leeds United.

Boss Thomas Frank was sacked the following day. By Friday the club were looking to appoint an experienced interim to take charge until the end of the season.

They have now turned to the 47-year-old former Juventus boss. Over the past decade he has managed Hajduk Split, PAOK, Karabükspor, Galatasaray, Udinese, Hellas Verona, Marseille, Lazio and Juventus.

He replaced Thiago Motta as Juventus head coach in March 2025 and led the club to fourth, securing Champions League qualification. He was sacked in October after eight games without a win.
