Ilaix ‘offered to’ Premier League clubs as Celta set €20m price | OneFootball

Celta are prepared to let Ilaix Moriba leave if a suitable offer arrives, with the club seeking funds to keep strengthening for next season’s Europa League.

According to Nós Diario, his camp have offered him to several Premier League clubs, and the Galician side had hoped for an offer before the end of July to balance the accounts.

Celta are understood to be asking for around €20 million. They paid €5 million to RB Leipzig only a year ago after a strong campaign at Balaídos, and both the player and the German club retained a percentage of any future sale, which complicates the operation.

He has been linked with Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Hull City, although none has yet moved to sign the former Valencia midfielder.

Under Claudio Giráldez last season, Ilaix made 48 appearances, scoring two goals and supplying four assists across 3,509 minutes.

He remains in Celta’s pre-season group but is training separately due to right Achilles tenosynovitis.
