Ilia Gruev posts rehab update after meniscus injury cut short his season | OneFootball

Leeds United midfielder Ilia Gruev has shared a recovery update as he continues his comeback from a meniscus knee injury.

The 26-year-old Bulgarian international had put together a run of starts in the second half of the campaign before a training-ground setback curtailed his season.

Ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, his campaign was ruled over, with an expectation at the time that he would return for pre-season.

Two and a half months on, Gruev posted on Instagram from Athens, sharing a photo on an exercise bike and a clip of him running on a treadmill.

He captioned the update “rehab”, indicating progress on his road back to fitness.
