A commemoration ceremony for the victims of the June 3, 2017, accidents was held this morning, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Piazza San Carlo in Turin. Nine years after the night, the city gathered once again to remember Erika Pioletti and Marisa Amato, the two women who lost their lives due to the severe injuries sustained when panic abruptly interrupted what was supposed to be an evening of sport and fellowship for the Champions League final between Juventus and Real Madrid.
The tribute, which has been held annually since 2018 to rally around the families, included the official Club banner and the placing of a floral arrangement as a tangible symbol of a memory that time cannot erase.
The highest authorities in Turin attended the moment of silence, including Prefect Domenico Cafagna, Police Chief Massimo Gambino, Provincial Commanders of the Carabinieri, Roberto De Cinti, and the Guardia di Finanza, Alberto Anastasia, Mayor Stefano Lo Russo, Councillor for Sport, Domenico Carretta, a representative of the Piedmont Regional Council, and representatives of the Fire Brigade.
