Iñigo Córdoba signs for CD Castellón on a free, contract to 2028 | OneFootball

CD Castellón have announced the signing of Iñigo Córdoba, who joins on a free after his Burgos CF contract expired and has agreed terms until 30 June 2028.

The 29-year-old strengthens the left flank for the orellut side. His arrival represents a step up in Castellón’s standing within the second-tier transfer market.

Córdoba is regarded as one of the division’s standout left wingers and has featured only in Segunda over the past two seasons. He moved to Burgos in 2024, partly to play alongside one of his brothers, after three productive campaigns in the Dutch top flight.

At Burgos he showed notable industry. His defensive output distinguishes him in the left-wing role, and Castellón believe they can maximise his impact from that platform.

He also brings valuable experience. Before moving to the Netherlands, he played almost 100 matches in Spain’s Primera División and came through the Lezama academy.
