FC Barcelona are always looking to make sure that their players are as prepared as possible for any challenge. Even if it requires special measures, La Blaugrana are always willing to do whatever is necessary. Thankfully, this has helped out several Barcelona players this season.

Pedri, for instance, has seen that the club’s care has enabled him to completely leave behind his injury problems. Thanks to that boost, the Spaniard is now arguably delivering his best season yet as a Barcelona player.

Similarly, Gavi also saw his return to the team be a slow and calculated process. Hansi Flick was adamant about having a gradual reintroduction into the team for the young midfielder, and that seems to have worked out well for all concerned parties.

Now, another midfielder seems to be making great progress in his own recovery from injury as well. According to SPORT, 17-year-old Barcelona gem Marc Bernal is now set to take a major step in his recovery from his severe ACL injury that has kept him sidelined since practically the beginning of the season.

After almost half a year since his surgery, the player is now reportedly set to make his way back to the pitch in the coming days to continue his recovery. A major step for any player, and one that is typically treated with a lot of care and caution, this would mark a significant step in the right direction for Bernal.

Up until now, his main focus has been in the gym as he has continued to develop his upper body. As time has passed, the player has also tried to continue working on his lower body as well. Now, however, the player could soon make a return to the training ground and focus on light jogging and basic change of direction.

Unlike Gavi’s injury, which took him around a year to return from, Bernal’s progress seems to be much faster. Moreover, SPORT reports that there might just be a possibility that the player could end up returning from his injury in under 11 months in total.

As for his future, Marc Bernal has the complete backing of Barcelona. There is already an agreement in place to have the young midfielder’s contract extended until 2029, despite his current deal being valid until only 2026.
