A member of the sidelined contingent at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Saturday provided a brief update on his wellbeing.
The player in question? Dani Olmo.
The name of midfielder Olmo has of course emerged as a prominent one in the chatter surrounding Barcelona over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the former RB Leipzig man was forced into a premature departure from international duty with Spain.
After suffering a muscular injury in training with La Roja, Olmo was sent back to Catalunya’s capital for a further round of medical tests by the country’s medical staff.
The expectation, in turn, is that the 27-year-old is facing up to an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Faced by the media upon his arrival in Barcelona on Saturday afternoon, Olmo was therefore drawn on his status for the upcoming Clásico.
Barcelona are primed to lock horns with arch rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26th.
And Olmo, in his response on Saturday, admitted:
“Will I make it to the Clásico? We’ll see.”
