Barcelona winger Raphinha will not feature in this weekend’s La Liga clash against Celta Vigo, as confirmed by a report from AS

The outlet mentions that while the Brazilian’s recovery is progressing positively, the club has decided not to rush his return, preferring to have him fully fit after the international break.

It is known that Raphinha has been working hard to regain fitness. However, Hansi Flick will need to wait a bit longer before the winger can return to action.

The club’s medical team has pencilled in the Athletic Bilbao fixture on November 22nd as a potential comeback date, a match that could also see Barcelona returning to the Spotify Camp Nou.

According to sources close to the dressing room, “Raphinha is recovering well, but his return won’t be rushed. He’s completely ruled out for Vigo; the aim is for him to be ready after the international break.”

Will rejoin group training soon

The upcoming international break comes as a blessing for Barcelona. It will provide valuable time for several injured players to complete their recovery.

Alongside Raphinha, Joan Garcia is also expected to return after recovering from arthroscopic surgery on the medial meniscus of his left knee.

Flick will be hoping to have both players available for the Bilbao encounter, which comes immediately after the break.

The Brazilian’s absence has been longer than initially anticipated. He last featured against Real Oviedo, where he was forced off in the 65th minute due to discomfort.

What was initially expected to be a three-week layoff has now stretched beyond six weeks, following a minor relapse in his rehabilitation.

Despite the delay, optimism within the club remains high as Raphinha is now entering the final stage of his recovery and is expected to rejoin group training sessions this week.
