England face Norway in the 2026 World Cup quarter-final on Saturday night, with five Arsenal players in contention to feature in the match. England have Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze, whilst Norway have club and national team captain Martin Odegaard.
But there have been doubts around three of those five this week, with Saka still struggling with his Achilles issue, and Rice and Odegaard both suffering with illness, at least according to some media claims.

The good news is that Saka and Rice were both involved in training on the eve of the quarter-final, with Thomas Tuchel confirming their participation in the session and availability for the match.
“That’s the best news,” Tuchel admitted. “We had everyone available in training, which we like. We have a full choice apart from our suspended player, Jarell Quansah.
“So that’s the good news. We took a big step in our last match but it’s only a step. The next step is to win the quarter-final.”

On a similar note, Norway doctor Ola Sand has dismissed concerns about a illness wreaking havoc through the Norway camp, suggesting it’s nothing too serious.
“All players are healthy now,” Sand said. “Very little fuss considering that we have been close together for almost six weeks.
“So great that [the English media] believe this (about the illness in the camp). We are in control.”
By the sounds of things, all five of Arsenal’s English and Norwegian quarter-finalists will be ready for selection on Saturday night.
