Inter have reportedly begun direct negotiations with Union Saint-Gilloise for Anan Khalaili and should be able to meet the asking price of €25m plus €5m add-ons, beating Napoli to his signature.
The Partenopei have long been on the heels of the Israel international winger, but Financial Fair Play limitations mean they must first sell players before they can make any new purchases.
That has stalled their progress and allowed Inter to dive in with a new proposal for the same target.

Sky Sport Italia claim this evening that the Nerazzurri made direct contact with Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise to discuss the transfer fee.
The deal can be done for €25m plus a further €5m in performance-related bonuses, with a relatively affordable salary for the winger too.
It is considerably cheaper than the €50m that Inter had set aside for Marco Palestra from Atalanta, who was the first choice to take over on the right from Real Madrid-bound Denzel Dumfries.
Instead, Chelsea came in with an offer worth almost €10m more and doubling the personal terms.
Khalaili turns 22 in September and was a product of the Maccabi Haifa youth academy before his move to Union Saint-Gilloise for €6.5m in 2024.

Last season, he contributed six goals and six assists in 52 competitive games for the Belgian club, scoring in the Champions League against Olympique Marseille and Atalanta.
