Inter Miami extend Ian Fray’s contract to 2028-29 | OneFootball

Inter Miami have signed Academy product and MLS Cup 2025 champion Ian Fray to a contract extension through the 2028-29 MLS season, the club said in a statement.

The 23-year-old South Florida native completed his third First Team campaign in 2025, making 35 appearances and contributing one goal and four assists across all competitions.

A Homegrown signing in 2021, he missed 2021 and 2022 with long-term injuries before returning in 2023.

Since then he has been part of the club’s first four trophy wins, the 2023 Leagues Cup, the 2024 Supporters’ Shield, doing so while setting the MLS single-season points record, the 2025 MLS Eastern Conference title, and MLS Cup 2025 presented by Audi.

In total he has made 66 appearances for Inter Miami in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

Fray rose through the player development pathway, starring for the Academy in 2019 before signing professionally with Inter Miami II in 2020. He was named in the 2020 USL League One All-League Second Team.

He featured in the club’s inaugural Academy team that debuted in a tournament in South Korea in 2019, the first Inter Miami side at any level to play a competitive match, alongside fellow Homegrown Noah Allen.

Internationally, he made his Jamaica senior debut in 2025 and has three appearances in Concacaf qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
